Preparing public safety personnel for a variety of unexpected situations
is the most comprehensive way to protect the communities we serve.
FLATROCK is a multifaceted training facility that includes a host of special services, to include a Scenario Village. The Village is a 44,000 square-foot facility that uses Simunition for the staging of real-life scenarios designed as the agency sees fit. This flexible facility provides open space in which different “scenes” can be constructed. Amenities include a classroom, defensive tactics training area, and individual day-use showers and lockers for trainees and instructors.
In addition to the Scenario Village there will be a Shoot House facility. The Shoot House will be an enclosed area for the use of simulating close-quarter combat and raid scenarios. Inside this open space are small, flexible rooms made of ballistic-grade materials for use in live ammunition simulations and training. An observation catwalk is located above for instructor use.
